A chapter in a technical book documents the R&D work of Triplet's team on formulations based on plant bioactives.
Triplet is among the authors of the Brazilian book "Úlceras e Feridas: as feridas têm alma e precisam de mãos solidárias" (Ulcers and Wounds), now in its second edition. The chapter "Eficácia e segurança de uma nova loção reparadora para tratamento de feridas cutâneas contendo bioativos de plantas medicinais" — efficacy and safety of a new repair lotion for skin wounds containing bioactives from medicinal plants — brings together research led by the company's partners and specialists.

This combination of chemistry, natural products and biomaterials is the same multidisciplinary base behind Triplet's development projects.
What the chapter covers
Skin wounds are a field in which biotechnology seeks safer, better-performing solutions. The chapter presents the development of a repair lotion containing bioactives from medicinal plants and the evaluation of its efficacy and safety.
From an R&D standpoint, the work follows stages common to any formulation development:
- selection and characterization of the bioactives;
- formulation development and optimization;
- definition of safety and performance evaluation criteria;
- technical documentation of the results.
Bridging research and application
Publishing in a technical book submits the work to the scrutiny of the scientific community. For Triplet, which works at the interface between universities, research centers and companies, that record matters twice: it consolidates the knowledge generated and demonstrates method — hypothesis, formulation, evaluation and documentation.
